**Alcohol-based cleaners, particularly those with high alcohol concentrations, have the potential to cause issues or break down the interior of a helmet.  The interior of a helmet often consists of materials such as foam padding, fabric liners, and adhesives.  Alcohol can potentially degrade or weaken these components over time.

To maintain the integrity of your helmet, it is generally recommended to avoid using alcohol-based cleaners unless specifically recommended by the helmet manufacturer.  Always refer to the manufacturer's guidelines and care instructions for your specific helmet model. They can provide specific recommendations on cleaning methods and products that are safe and compatible with the materials used in the helmet's construction. Following the manufacturer's instructions will help ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your helmet.
