Tea Tree (Malaleuca Alternifolia)

Tea Tree essential oil, derived from the leaves of the Melaleuca alternifolia tree, is known for its potent antimicrobial and antibacterial properties.

We chose a Premium Tea Tree (Australian) as a key essential oil in our REFRESHED @ The Paddock, Helmet+ Spray, specifically for its natural disinfecting qualities and anti-fungal, antimicrobial properties.

Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) Essential Oil:

  • Tea Tree essential oil is extracted from the leaves of the Melaleuca alternifolia tree, native to Australia.
  • It has a fresh, medicinal aroma and is recognized for its powerful antimicrobial and antibacterial properties.
  • Tea Tree oil is commonly used to address skin concerns such as acne, blemishes, and fungal infections due to its ability to combat bacteria and microbes.
  • It can help reduce inflammation, soothe skin irritations, and promote overall skin health.
  • Tea Tree oil's anti-fungal properties make it effective in addressing conditions like athlete's foot, nail fungus, and dandruff.
  • It can be used as a natural disinfectant and cleanser for surfaces, helping to eliminate harmful bacteria and microbes.
  • Tea Tree oil is known for its potential to alleviate respiratory congestion when used in inhalation or steam therapy.
  • When properly diluted, Tea Tree oil can be applied topically to treat minor cuts, scrapes, and insect bites due to its antimicrobial effects.

It's important to note that Tea Tree oil should be used with caution and properly diluted before topical application, as it can cause skin sensitivities.  We currently only use Tea Tree in our REFRESHED @ The Paddock Helmet+ Spray.

In summary, Tea Tree essential oil offers a fresh, medicinal aroma and provides benefits such as potent antimicrobial and antibacterial properties, skin clarifying effects, scalp and hair care support, respiratory congestion relief, and natural disinfection capabilities.

MEET THE FOUNDER

For years, I couldn't understand why we accepted lower standards for horse grooming than we do for our own hair.

As a horsewoman and Certified Organic Haircare Formulator, I knew there had to be a better approach. The Equine Haircare Method™ was created to bring modern haircare principles into horse grooming through proper cleansing, conditioning, hydration, and maintenance.

Because healthy hair tangles less, breaks less, and shines naturally.
